About Hilary

Hilary was raised in Houma, Louisiana, by her two loving parents, Suzette and James Solet. As a child, she witnessed her parents divulge themselves into the community by selflessly coaching baseball, softball, and cheerleading for recreational and travel teams. She learned a tireless work ethic and passion for her community from them, that she carries with her into her legal practice today.

She is now a mother of two amazing children (with one being inutero) and proud wife to Travis Thompson. Along with her thriving law practice and family, she still finds time to give back to her community by volunteering to teach preschool choir at her local church.

Hilary is passionate about serving survivors of domestic violence and has a working relationship with the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Safe Harbor Northshore. Her zealous advocacy has led to a reversal of a decision through emergency writ through the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and countless protective orders, including several permanent protective orders. Hilary's experience in family law and extensive knowledge of protections under the Post-Separation Family Violence Act make her a tireless domestic violence advocate.

Outside of domestic violence, Hilary primarily focuses on family law cases and representing claimants applying for Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income benefits.
